G MASS Consulting are working with a leading international bank to appoint a Derivatives Operations Analyst to join their London operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career candidate to build a strong foundation in post-trade operations within a well-established and supportive environment.The team handles the confirmation and settlement of a broad range of derivative products, with FX derivatives forming a key area of focus. You will work within a controlled framework of procedures, build your product knowledge through cross-training, and play an active part in the smooth day-to-day running of the desk.Responsibilities<ul><li>Confirm and settle derivative trades accurately and within agreed deadlines, in line with internal and group operating procedures</li><li>Develop a working knowledge of the full product range through cross-training, with particular emphasis on FX derivatives</li><li>Raise potential operational issues promptly with team leadership and help drive them through to resolution</li><li>Work within the firm’s quality and control standards at all times</li><li>Review existing processes and put forward ideas for improvement</li><li>Communicate clearly and efficiently with colleagues and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing</li><li>Support the wider team with ad-hoc tasks as needed</li></ul>
<ul><li>Some exposure to an operations, finance or office-based environment is beneficial, though not essential</li><li>Strong numerical and analytical ability</li><li>Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach</li><li>Well organised, with good time management and attention to detail</li><li>Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel</li></ul>
