Deadline Date: Monday 9 November 2026Requirement: MPS TechnicianLocation: Yeovilton, GBFull Time On-Site: YesTime On-Site: 100% Total Scope of the request (hours): 320Required Start Date: 7 December 2026End Contract Date: 31 December 2026 Required Security Clearance: NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET Duties & Role: Under the direction of CSE Yeovilton Head the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:<ul><li>Manage multiple VMware vCenter & ESXi servers</li><li>Manage Windows Servers, AD, DNS, DHCP</li><li>Basic maintenance of Switches and Firewalls</li><li>Maintain Infodas SGWX diode</li><li>Maintain GPS Time Server</li><li>Install and maintain multiple server and client software applications</li><li>Maintain Bespoke Server application TEPA and its database</li><li>Maintain Softtros LanManager messaging</li><li>Renewing certificates</li><li>Managing VIASAT encrypted drives</li><li>Loading Keymat to TCE621M devices</li><li>Escorting and assisting 3rd level engineers</li><li>Assist with testing and verification of new systems</li><li>Assist with VEEAM Backup</li><li>Supporting local ServiceDesk</li><li>Maintaining documentation on assigned systems</li><li>Support to VDI maintenance, and thin clients</li><li>Print server support.</li><li>Assist with EPO DLP</li><li>Install Sharepoint and SQL server patches.</li><li>Performs other duties as may be required.</li></ul> Specific Working Conditions: The site is small and you will work with 4 other IT staff. Usual working hours: 0830 – 1700hrs Mon – Thurs; 0830 –1500hrs Fri with 30 minute lunchbreak (negotiable). 38hr working week with some flexibility on start and finish times.
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:<ul><li>The candidate must have a currently active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET security clearance</li><li>Vocational training at middle level in a relevant discipline, or equivalent, or Diploma of secondary education in IT System Administration with 5 years of experience.</li><li>Extensive Windows Server Administration experience</li><li>Intermediate Network maintenance and configuration experience</li><li>Advanced Workstation System Administration experience</li><li>Significant IT Service Desk Support experience</li><li>Experience working on multiple IT systems simultaneously in a fast moving dynamic environment, while being able to react quickly to user needs.</li></ul>Desired Skills:<ul><li>Knowledge of NATO IT Security Policies, Directives & Guidance</li><li>Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements</li><li>Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization.</li><li>ITIL v3 Foundation</li><li>Specific experience with the following: TCE621, VIASAT drives, VEEAM Backup, Infodas SGWX, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VMware vCenter, DELL Switches, Trellix EPO, SQL Server, Sharepoint Server, Softros LanManager, PKI Certificate renewal process, Horizon View.</li></ul>
