Our Course Maintenance team plays a pivotal role in delivering world-class playing conditions for our members and guests year-round.We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Greenkeeper to join our team and help maintain the high standards that define Brocket Hall.<h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul> <li>Perform advanced landscaping tasks including mowing, aeration, fertilization, and pest management with adherence to safety guidelines.</li> <li>Oversee and participate in the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course, including greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers.</li> <li>Assist in the formulation and execution of annual course maintenance plans, seasonal changes, and turf management practices.</li> <li>Maintain and repair maintenance equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.</li> <li>Conduct inspections of the course to diagnose problems and implement corrective measures as necessary.</li> <li>Train and mentor junior staff and apprentices to enhance their skills and ensure effective course maintenance.</li> <li>Engage with members and guests to provide insights about course conditions and any upcoming maintenance activities.</li> <li>Promote and adhere to health and safety regulations and environmental sustainability practices.</li> </ul>
<ul> <li>Proven experience as a greenkeeper or in a similar role, with relevant qualifications in turf management.</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of turf management practices, health and safety regulations, and maintenance equipment.</li> <li>A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to effectively manage tasks.</li> <li>Excellent leadership and communication skills for training and mentoring team members.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.</li> <li>Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks.</li> <li>Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.</li> <li>Valid driver's license and the ability to transport equipment as necessary.</li> </ul>
