We’re seeking an accomplished LNG market expert to lead Vortexa’s LNG analysis globally, as we continue our rapid growth and fulfil Vortexa’s vision to open, connect, and optimise the energy world through pioneering technology and unmatched market information.
As Head of LNG Analysis, you will be Vortexa’s senior subject matter expert on LNG and the most senior public face of our LNG market views. You will set the direction for our global LNG research, lead Vortexa’s LNG team, and own the quality and relevance of our LNG insights.
Deep, hands-on experience of analysing the LNG and natural gas markets is essential.
You will collaborate closely with our global energy and shipping analysts community to scale our LNG market analysis offering, focused on timely, actionable insights on the LNG and shipping markets and broad, cross-barrel analysis.
You will also work closely with our product and data science teams to explore new features or improvements, define user requirements, interpret new requests and help prioritise work.
Our analysis supports our commercial team in demonstrating value to our customers and prospects. You will regularly create analysis content, present to customers in meetings and represent Vortexa at industry events.

Strategy & Direction:
• Own Vortexa’s global LNG analysis strategy, setting research priorities and the coverage roadmap in line with customers' needs and commercial goals.

Team Leadership:
• Lead, mentor and develop Vortexa’s LNG team, setting objectives, reviewing output and building a high-performing, collaborative team.
• Shape team structure and coverage across regions and time zones, and lead hiring as the team grows
• Champion analytical rigour and consistent house views across all LNG content

Global LNG Market Analysis:
• Set and lead the research agenda on the global LNG market, focusing on emerging trade flows, shipping market dynamics, supply-demand fundamentals, liquefaction and regasification capacity, policy impacts and other price drivers.
• Utilise Vortexa's cutting-edge platform and data sources to derive actionable insights for our customers
• Grow Vortexa’s LNG and natural gas market coverage, launching new reports, products and content
• Present our market data and views at senior customer meetings, webinars and conferences
• Serve as a go-to source for media organisations seeking Vortexa’s unique LNG market insights

Customer & Commercial Engagement:
• Partner with commercial leadership to grow Vortexa’s LNG business, demonstrate the value of Vortexa’s LNG offering to the industry and support strategic customers with specific LNG market analysis

Forecasting and Modelling:
• Direct the development of models to forecast LNG supply, demand, and trade flows. Collaborate with data scientists to enhance predictive capabilities using historical and real-time data

Product Leadership:
• Act as the senior LNG voice for our data, engineering, and product teams, helping to set priorities to enhance the accuracy and relevance of Vortexa's LNG analytics platform, including data quality and new features

Industry Thought Leadership:
• Lead the company's LNG thought leadership, authoring and overseeing blog posts, whitepapers, and updates on LNG market trends and developments
• Representing Vortexa at LNG related events

• Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation in energy analytics
• At least 5 years of experience in LNG market research and analysis, gained at a trading house, utility, producer, consultancy, price reporting agency or data provider
• Proven experience leading and developing a team of analysts
• Deep expertise in LNG and natural gas market fundamentals, including shipping, contracting, pricing and regional gas markets
• An established industry network and recognised credibility with LNG market participants and media
• Outstanding communication skills, with the confidence to present complex insights to senior customer and large audiences
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, or engineering; a postgraduate qualification is a plus
