Elevator pitch: the company. Us. Runway East.

Did you want to grow up and work in a boring office? Us neither. Since 2014, Runway East has been on a mission to destroy boring offices.

We run flexible workspaces in London, Bristol, Bath, Birmingham and Brighton for teams of 1 to 100, with everything from dogs on demand to our famous Friday drinks trolley.

We're a B Corp, so we care about our impact on the planet and the people in it. We're also growing: we've opened three new sites this year, with more on the way.

Elevator pitch: the job. It's a great job. We promise.

Are you looking for your first role in marketing?

We’re offering a 12 month fixed term contract in our marketing team (with the mutual option of one 6 month extension), where you’ll assist our experienced team as we launch new buildings, build our brand, and have fun doing it.

You’ll bring a can-do attitude, ambition, and a hunger to learn.

We’ll ensure you get experience across every aspect of marketing - from brand to growth, asset creation to social media management - and also give you up to £1500 to support your professional development during your contract, providing the perfect spring board for you into your next role in marketing.

A note on why this is a fixed-term role

We’ve designed this as a 12-month development role, with the option of one 6-month extension if we both want it. We’re upfront about why.

Our marketing team is three senior marketers, so there isn’t a mid-level role to step into afterwards, and it wouldn’t be fair to advertise a long-term job with nowhere to grow. Instead, we want to give someone a year of broad, hands-on experience and real help moving into their next marketing role.

So this is for someone who sees it as a springboard rather than a destination, whether you’re starting out or changing career.

What you'll do

A bit of everything - you’ll be there to help our senior marketers when they need assistance - that could be tying balloons (carefully) into an actor's hair for a video shoot, researching a new market, or planning our content calendar! All that and more are available in this role.

Keeping our content up to date - we have 500+ offices. They require up to date collateral - photos, floorplans, 360’s - where possible. Is it glamorous? No. Is it a fundamentally crucial part of marketing, with ample room for automation? Yes.

Growing our brand - blog posts, scheduling social media calendars, editing newsletters, assisting with content creation, enlisting founders and CEO’s from our member base into interviews and more - all in a day's work.

Help fill up new sites - when a new building opens, make sure every digital and physical asset is ready on time.

Who you are

Ambitious - you’re keen to learn and grow into a marketing professional.

Organised and accurate - you keep track of lots of moving parts, spot what's missing and hit your deadlines.

A good writer - you can write clear, lively copy and can pick up a tone of voice, and you pay attention to detail. If you’re a human, don’t, or remove the edit. Ours is relaxed, with a bit of cheek.

Tech-minded - you pick up new tools quickly, you've used AI tools for writing or research, and you check their work before it goes anywhere.

An eye for design - you don't need to be a designer, but you know what good looks like and can explain why something isn't working. Canva, Figma or Adobe experience is a bonus.

Some experience - maybe you’ve had an internship in marketing, content or operations, an internship, freelance work, or a portfolio you've built yourself. We care more about what you can do than where you learned to do it.

Interested - in life, things, culture, passions, people etc.

What about the money?

£30,800 a year

Anything else?

Hybrid: In the office, one day a week remote

Time off: 31 days including bank holidays, plus your birthday off and extra time over Christmas.

Wellbeing: private health and dental insurance, gym discounts, mental health support and a Bike2Work scheme.

Learning: your £1,500 upskilling budget, monthly mentoring and our learning resources.

Community: two workdays a year for charitable activities, team outings, and our annual team trip (past trips include Barcelona, Rhodes and Vilnius).

The usual suspects: paid sick days, compassionate leave, enhanced parental leave and life insurance.

You can find out more about our values and perks here.

We see the good in everyone. We celebrate our differences.

We keep community at our core, and a community can only thrive when it is diverse and inclusive. We welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences, whatever your race, religion, status, sexuality, gender identity, age, appearance or disability. There is no set blueprint for a Runway East team member. What matters to us is your spirit.

If you need any adjustments during the application or interview process, tell us and we'll sort it.

Fired up by what you've read so far? Hit apply, we want to meet you.
