About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced, discreet and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join the household team of a large private residence in London.It is a position in a silent service environment, focused on flawless home management, comfort and the quality of the living environment, always with complete respect for the family’s privacy.You will report to the House Manager / Butler and work as part of a small, professional household team.Key Responsibilities:Luxury Housekeeping & Presentation<ul><li>Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness across all four floors, including formal reception rooms, the spa area (pool, sauna and hammam), kitchen, gym, bedrooms, studies and family areas.</li><li>Carry out daily and weekly cleaning schedules, including specialist care of natural stone, solid wood, metals, leather and other luxury surfaces.</li><li>Conduct deep cleans while the family is away, including steam sanitisation, linen inventory, storage organisation and detailed labelling.</li></ul>Climate, Air Quality & Technical Oversight<ul><li>Maintain a comfortable atmosphere throughout the home, including temperature, humidity, air quality and lighting.</li><li>Monitor temperature and humidity sensors, and PM and CO₂ levels where available.</li><li>Maintain humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air purifiers and extraction systems.</li></ul>Laundry & Wardrobe Care<ul><li>Manage the full laundry cycle: sorting, delicate washing, careful drying, steaming and ironing.</li><li>Care for children’s clothing, luxury fabrics and labelled linen sets.</li><li>Coordinate dry cleaning, making sure items go out and come back on time.</li></ul>Evening Turndown Service<ul><li>Air rooms, set soft lighting and tidy living areas.</li><li>Prepare bedrooms: beds, pyjamas and throws, drinking water, curtains and blinds, and a final freshness check.</li><li>Prepare bathrooms: fresh towels, replenished amenities, and spotless surfaces and mirrors.</li></ul>Coordination & Communication<ul><li>Work from checklists and logs, with daily reports on completed tasks, issues and climate readings.</li><li>Work closely with the rest of the household staff.</li><li>Strictly observe confidentiality (NDA), privacy and “do not disturb” protocols.</li></ul>Deliveries, Couriers & Returns<ul><li>Receive, inspect and log deliveries, recording any damage.</li><li>Prepare returns and exchanges, arrange courier collections and track shipments.</li></ul>Storage, Stock & Inventory<ul><li>Keep storage areas immaculate, labelled and managed on a FIFO basis.</li><li>Carry out weekly and monthly inventories of linen and consumables, reordering when stock reaches set minimum levels.</li><li>Photograph incoming deliveries and keep all storage areas in order.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>3+ years’ experience in private UHNW households, including experience in a silent service environment.</li><li>Excellent professional housekeeping skills and knowledge of caring for luxury materials and finishes.</li><li>Confident use of household equipment: humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air purifiers, cleaning systems, and basic apps and timers.</li><li>Experience caring for delicate items and high-value wardrobes.</li><li>Clear, concise communication.</li><li>Excellent time management, accuracy and organisation.</li><li>Absolute discretion and respect for confidentiality.</li><li>Verifiable references from previous private households.</li></ul>Work Location: In person
