Location: Lacock, Wiltshire Department: Ungraded Egg Department – Packing Centre Hours: 06.00am - 18.00pm, 4on4off Pay: £13.06We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our Ungraded Egg Department within our Packing Centre in Lacock.This is a hands-on warehouse position supporting the safe and efficient movement, handling and organisation of ungraded eggs as they come into the Packing Centre. Previous warehouse experience and experience operating an electric pallet/pump truck are essential for this position. You’ll be joining a busy operational team where accuracy, reliability and safe working are key.As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:<ul><li>Receiving and handling ungraded eggs within the department</li><li>Moving and organising stock safely around the warehouse area</li><li>Preparing products for the next stage of the packing process</li><li>Loading, unloading and moving goods as required</li><li>Ensuring products are handled carefully to minimise damage</li><li>Keeping work areas clean, tidy and organised</li><li>Following site hygiene, food safety and health & safety procedures</li><li>Completing relevant checks and paperwork accurately</li><li>Working closely with colleagues across the department to keep operations running smoothly</li><li>Supporting other warehouse and production activities when required</li></ul>
To be successful in this role, you will need:<ul><li>Previous warehouse experience – essential</li><li>Previous experience using an electric pallet/pump truck – essential</li><li>Strong attention to detail, ensuring products and stock are handled accurately and carefully</li><li>Good problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to day-to-day operational issues</li><li>Basic IT skills</li><li>A reliable and punctual approach to work</li><li>The ability to work effectively as part of a busy operational team</li><li>Confidence working in a physical, hands-on environment</li><li>A strong understanding of the importance of health, safety and hygiene</li><li>A flexible approach and willingness to support the wider Packing Centre operation when required</li></ul>
