Our services span game development, art production, audio production, quality assurance, localisation, localisation QA, player support and more.
Our audio teams bring characters and stories to life through voice production, casting, recording, dialogue production and audio localisation across a wide range of games and interactive experiences.
Help us bring stories to the world.
The Role
We are looking for Production Managers to join our London team as we prepare for a major project planned for 2027 and support our wider audio production operations.
We have three opportunities available: two 12-month fixed-term contracts and one 6-month fixed-term contract.
As a Production Manager, you will take ownership of dialogue and voice production projects from initial client brief through to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
Our work spans everything from independent mobile games to AAA console titles, alongside voice production for technology and digital media clients. Projects involve English and other localised languages, working with clients and production partners around the world.
This is a hands-on production management role requiring strong organisation, commercial awareness, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
You'll work closely with clients, actors, directors, studio engineers, Casting, Post-Production and external vendors, coordinating the people, schedules, budgets and assets needed to deliver successful projects.
What You'll Be Doing
• End-to-end project management: Take responsibility for the full project lifecycle, from understanding client requirements and preparing budgets and timelines through to delivery against agreed milestones and quality standards.
• Production planning and scheduling: Coordinate recording sessions, prepare scripts and essential recording assets for actors, directors and studio engineers, and monitor recording progress, adjusting schedules as required.
• Script and asset management: Manage script updates, changes and incoming assets throughout production, ensuring relevant stakeholders have the information and materials they need.
• Audio delivery: Work closely with Post-Production teams to track the progress of final audio deliverables and ensure delivery requirements and deadlines are met.
• Client relationship management: Act as the day-to-day contact for clients on your projects, maintaining clear communication, managing expectations and addressing requests, queries and challenges professionally.
• Budgeting and commercial management: Prepare initial project quotes, manage project costs and communicate budget variations, changes in scope and associated implications to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Supplier and freelancer management: Coordinate third-party resources, including freelancers, external vendors and other Side service lines, negotiating fees where required.
• Casting support: Work with the Casting team to support actor selection and auditions, helping ensure the required criteria and calibre of talent are met.
• Cross-functional coordination: Work across multiple departments to allocate and manage project resources effectively and maintain smooth production workflows.
• Problem-solving and adaptability: Identify potential issues, assess changing project requirements and adjust production plans and timelines to maintain successful delivery.
• Project ownership and administration: Maintain accurate project records, documentation and administrative requirements independently, ensuring all necessary tasks are completed without external prompting.
• Prioritisation and escalation: Manage a high volume of work across multiple projects, balance competing deadlines and communicate significant risks or issues to management in a timely manner.
You will also contribute to a safe, professional and respectful working environment, uphold Side's security, confidentiality, IT, HR, health and safety and ethical standards, and support other business activities as required.
What We're Looking For
Experience and knowledge
• Experience in a role requiring comparable project management skills, with responsibility for coordinating projects through their lifecycle.
• In-depth knowledge of the games industry and/or audio production processes. Relevant experience may come from broadcast, commercial production, post-production, games development or a creative agency.
• Strong understanding of project management processes, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving workflows and business requirements.
• The ability to manage competing deadlines, client accounts, projects and stakeholders effectively. Previous experience managing multiple concurrent projects is strongly preferred.
• Experience working directly with clients, managing expectations and maintaining positive professional relationships.
• Experience coordinating schedules, resources, budgets and deliverables in a production or comparable project environment.
Skills and approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the confidence to manage challenging client conversations and communicate clear, constructive pushback when necessary.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy production environment.
• Sound judgement, critical thinking and a practical, solutions-focused approach to resolving problems.
• The ability to remain composed under pressure, respond constructively to changing requirements and maintain focus on successful delivery.
• A proactive, accountable approach, taking ownership of work and following through on commitments.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across multiple departments.
• A process-oriented approach, with the adaptability to work within established procedures while responding to evolving production needs.
• Experienced use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Additional knowledge that would be useful
• Familiarity with Excel formulas such as SUMIFS and COUNTIFS for analysing and tracking dialogue script information.
• Previous experience working on video game dialogue production or audio localisation projects.
Direct games industry experience is not essential where candidates can demonstrate relevant transferable production management capabilities.
Working at Side
This is a London-based role with an initial one-month, fully onsite training period to support your integration into the team and production processes.
Following training, the standard working arrangement is three days per week in the London office and two days working from home .
We are targeting a start date of 4 January 2027 , with some flexibility to accommodate notice periods.
If you have strong production or project management experience, enjoy working with clients and creative teams, and can maintain ownership of complex projects in a fast-moving environment, we'd like to hear from you.
