Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are excited to be recruiting for Hangar Cleaners to join one of our well-respected and successful clients at Gatwick Airport. What’s on offer:<ul><li>Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour.</li><li>Day Shifts available: 07:00 am to 17:00 pm - This may be subject to change, due to operational requirements.</li><li>Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday This may be subject to change, due to operational requirements.</li><li>Weekly Pay (every Friday).</li><li>Full training provided.</li><li>Temp to Perm (performance-based)</li><li>ASAP Start!</li></ul> Key Duties:<ul><li>Support the Team Lead with daily hangar projects and tasks.</li><li>Carry out interior and exterior cleaning on British Airways (BA) aircraft.</li><li>Complete all levels of aircraft cleaning, including toilets, deep cleans, passenger seats, floors, overhead areas and kitchen galleys.</li><li>Clean and sanitise aircraft areas thoroughly to the required hygiene and customer standards.</li><li>Be comfortable working at height on and around aircraft, using the correct safety equipment.</li><li>Follow daily work schedules and instructions from the Team Lead.</li><li>This is a very physical role, involving bending, reaching, climbing, lifting and being on your feet for long periods. You must be physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work throughout your shift.</li><li>Be a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues to get the job done.</li><li>Follow all Health & Safety, Working at Height and aviation safety procedures.</li><li>Use cleaning equipment, tools and chemicals safely and correctly.</li><li>Help with stock checks, equipment checks and completing required paperwork.</li><li>Keep the hangar and aircraft work areas clean, safe and organised.</li><li>Work closely with colleagues, British Airways teams and contractors to complete work safely, efficiently and on time.</li></ul> Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to work well in a team.</li><li>Great work ethic.</li><li>Valid Passport or Driving Licence /Birth Certificate or National ID card.</li><li>UK Settled Status (If applicable).</li><li>Proof of National Insurance.</li><li>Proof of (current) Address.</li><li>5 Year Address History.</li><li>5 Year Work Reference History.</li><li>Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following interview in line with CAA requirements.</li><li>Previous airport and/or cleaning experience would be beneficial.</li></ul>PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.
