Power BI Developer - Dynamics 365 F&O/ Fabric - 500 per day - Outside IR35 - London / Hybrid - 6 monthsI'm currently working with a London-based client who is embarking on a significant business transformation programme, implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) across its finance function.As part of this programme, they are looking to engage an experienced Power BI Developer, on a 6 month contract, with hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience to design, develop and deliver a suite of reporting and data solutions that will support the transformation and provide meaningful financial insight to the business.This is an excellent opportunity for a Power BI Developer who has previously worked with Dynamics 365 F&O and Microsoft Fabric and, importantly, has a strong track record of developing reporting solutions specifically for finance teams.The role will require 3 days per week onsite at the clients London office.The RoleYou will work closely with finance stakeholders and the wider transformation team to understand reporting requirements, translate financial processes into meaningful data insights and develop high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports using Microsoft Fabric.The role will be highly stakeholder-facing, so the ability to communicate effectively with finance professionals, understand their requirements and challenge where necessary will be essential.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Design, develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support the finance transformation programme.</li><li>Utilise Microsoft Fabric to develop and support data engineering, integration and reporting solutions.</li><li>Develop financial reporting solutions using data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.</li><li>Work closely with finance stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate these into effective BI solutions.</li><li>Develop financial measures, calculations, KPIs and reporting logic.</li><li>Build reporting around financial dimensions, general ledger information and other relevant finance data.</li><li>Ensure financial reports provide accurate, meaningful and actionable insights.</li><li>Support the validation and reconciliation of financial data and reporting outputs.</li><li>Work collaboratively with the wider transformation team to ensure reporting solutions align with the new finance operating model.</li></ul>Essential Experience<ul><li>Proven experience as a Power BI Developer.</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.</li><li>Previous hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).</li><li>Demonstrable experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards specifically for finance teams.</li><li>Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements and financial data structures.</li><li>Experience developing financial measures, calculations, KPIs and business logic within Power BI.</li><li>Understanding of financial dimensions, general ledger data and management reporting.</li><li>Experience working with data pipelines, data integration and data transformation within Microsoft Fabric.</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with previous experience engaging directly with finance stakeholders.</li><li>Ability to translate complex financial requirements into clear, user-friendly reporting solutions.</li></ul>If you're a Power BI Developer with hands-on experience across Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Dynamics 365 F&O, alongside a proven background delivering financial reporting solutions, we would be keen to hear from you.Please get in touch with your latest CV and availability to discuss further.
